1999 New York Stickball Classic: Manhattan event Click for bigger picture Manhattan longball champions (MANHATTAN, 7/17/1999) The Manhattan Competition took place on a hot July day. Despite the heat, lots of folks showed up. Good people, great players. The longball competition was fierce. The stickball games were tough (late rally's, extra innings). We're not done yet. Final playoffs between the remaining Manhattan teams will take place in late August.
