As the game was about to begin, the players realized they had to clear the field. Cars were no match for guys ready for serious stickball competition and the two top photos show the cooperative spirit involved in moving the cars to the curb. On the other hand, the next photo captures the argument over exactly which part of a remaining parked vehicle represented fair and foul territory.

Lower shots depict the field and game. The next-to-last photo shows Johnny Rizzo being congratulated after he hit a home run that knocked in the go-ahead runs. The final shot is of the Brookfield Bombers and the E. 36th Street Fanatics congratulating each other after a hard played game.
