Playing Games with Kids
One of the purposes of this site is to share the experiences parents have playing these games (or other stuff) with their kids. Perhaps we could share some tips on what works and what's fun. Another of the sites goals is to support organizations that help kids facing particularly tough hurdles to find their way in this world. In this regard we'd like to draw your attention to a new program called Sports Buddies being featured on the site. Sports Buddies was recently developed out of the Big Brothers and Big Sisters Program. We believe it has tremendous potential to attract "children at risk" and adults who would like to be a positive role model to a kid from a single parent home. Streetplay is also helping support the Police Athletic League through our participation in the Stickball Classic. We have also contributed to the Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy through the WFAN/KeySpan Charity Softball Event. All of the contests that we sponsor include our "50/50" split in which $50 is given to the contest winner and $50 to a children's charity of their choice. |
