Different Ways to Relate - 2 Sept 25, 1999 It's nice to have someone you love, totally rooting for you when you're involved in an intense competition. Today both Sydell and Lisa were in Central Park cheering for their partners in this year's singles finals. Sydell and Kendall are each top ranked players. Sydell says Kendall played a key role in encouraging her to continue with her own game and now she's his biggest fan (and recent fiancee). "We've been playing together since we met about five years ago," she said. Robert and Lisa met at Serriga, the indoor Paddle Ball Courts in the Bronx (Robert is also a champion Paddle Ball Player). They continue to share in the activity, but do not play in competitions.
